ORA with VerifEye

Despite all human eyes having the same basic anatomical structure, each person’s eye is different in terms of size, depth, curvature of the cornea and other important features. Due to these unique individual differences in your eye, and any previous treatments that may have been performed like RK, LASIK, or PRK, cataract surgery must be carefully tailored to each individual patient’s eyes by carefully measuring and mapping the eye prior to cataract surgery in order to achieve the goal of less dependence on glasses.

Before your surgery, various measurements are taken in order to select the appropriate IOL or intraocular lens power.  However there can be a margin of error when making the proper selection based on previous surgery and unknown physiological factors.

Surgeons at The Eye Institute of Utah utilize a special surgical confirmation tool which helps customize your vision even further during all Custom Cataract surgery procedures performed at The Surgicare Center of Utah.  The ORA (Optiwave Refractive Analysis) intraoperative aberrometry system provides real-time analysis of your eye during surgery.  With the use of ORA with VerifEye during your Custom Cataract Surgery, we can ensure your procedure will be optimized and the analysis will provide our surgeons with information that helps confirm the proper correction for optimal visual outcomes.  For patients with astigmatism, those who have had prior LASIK, PRK or RK, or those who are having a multifocal lens implanted, ORA with VerifEye can improve the accuracy to help reduce the need for glasses after your procedure.

All patients who elect to have procedures performed with the ORA technology, receive a limited-time warranty.
