Kristin O. Chapman, MD

Dr. Kristin Ow Chapman is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive eye care and treatment for glaucoma.
Dr. Chapman graduated with honors from Pepperdine University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She earned her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine and went on to an internship at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upton, PA. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, NY, where she was named chief resident. She then received fellowship training in glaucoma at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Chapman has been dedicated to ophthalmic research throughout her academic and professional career. She has published and presented on a range of topics, including ocular surface disease, glaucoma risk and management, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).
Dr. Chapman has volunteered her time and services with several charitable organizations, including Unite for Sight, with whom she served as a Global Impact Fellow in Bihar, India. She currently acts as a director of Working Vision, an organization which is dedicated to treating and preventing work related injuries in developing countries by distributing safety information and equipment and improving access to care. She has performed charity surgeries for those who have no access to care and has traveled to Micronesia, Mongolia, the Navajo community and Sonoma county teaching other doctors and professionals about state of the art ophthalmic procedures and techniques.
