WaveLight® Refractive Suite

New WaveLight Refractive Suite DHW

The WaveLight Refractive Suite

At The Eye Institute of Utah, we strive to provide our patients with the best possible care at all times. By utilizing some of the latest and most advanced technology, we can perform vision correction surgeries with greater precision, efficiency, and patient comfort. In effort to uphold our mission of providing an unprecedented level of care, we have become the first practice in Utah to acquire the WaveLight® Refractive Suite. This revolutionary technology is a state-of-the-art laser system that has improved how refractive surgery is performed at The Eye Institute. The suite features the WaveLight® EX500 Excimer Laser, the WaveLight® FS200 Femtosecond Laser, and a swiveling patient bed. These three elements work harmoniously together for an improved patient experience.

The WaveLight® Refractive Suite is the world’s fastest platform for patient-specific refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK. The physicians at The Eye Institute can customize treatment for each patient and transfer data wirelessly to the machine through an internal computer network. This allows for improved accuracy and better usability for your surgeon, both of which can help facilitate the entire surgical process. With the combination of two advanced lasers and an integrated swiveling patient bed, the WaveLight® Refractive Suite can provide some of the best possible results for correcting refractive errors such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism. With successful vision correction surgery, patients can reduce or completely eliminate their need for corrective eyewear.
