Experience – 20 Years
Since 1986, Randy B. Carter, OD, FAAO, has been in private practice at The Eye Institute of Utah, serving as director of the optometric residency and optometric internship programs. He holds appointments as adjunct assistant professor of optometry at the Indiana University School of Optometry, Pacific University School of Optometry, Southern College of Optometry and Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

History
Dr. Carter has lectured extensively on eye-related topics at national and local meetings and is licensed in Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Utah and Wyoming. He attended the University of South Alabama and later received his Bachelor of Science from Indiana University. He earned his doctor of optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1983.
Dr. Carter spent three years as staff optometrist for the Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute/Anne Bates Leech Eye Hospital, part of the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida, before coming to The Eye Institute. He has special interest in treating dry eye conditions and glaucoma.
