Prior to the introduction of this laser, traditional cataract surgery involved the creation of several small incisions during the procedure.  All of these incisions were made manually with a blade. Now, a femtosecond laser, the LenSx laser, has the ability to create those incisions, which provides you with a more precise procedure-10X1 more accurate than manual cataract removal.  The laser also allows for better management of patient’s astigmatism.

With Custom Cataract Laser Surgery, the laser features real-time tools that give the surgeon an accurate visual of what is going on inside the eye.  This computer-guided laser makes the entire cataract procedure more precise.

For over 30 years, The Eye Institute of Utah has been bringing the very best in eye care to Utah.  Custom Cataract Laser Surgery is undoubtedly the next step in improving cataract surgery.

With all the benefits that Custom Cataract Laser Surgery provides, why would you demand anything less?
